 What is Samsung Contact?
Samsung Contact is an advanced business email and collaboration solution that runs on Solaris, HP-UX and the RedHat and SuSE flavours of Linux. It supports Microsoft Outlook in its native MAPI mode, an HTML client as well as standard POP and IMAP connections.

Per this announcement, December 2005, and this update, December 2006, it's no longer being sold to new customers, and support ends at the end of 2007.

Samsung Contact Version 9
This version of the Samsung Contact server supports the version 9 Samsung Contact Web client and MAPI Service Providers. The version 9 clients are not backward compatible with Samsung Contact servers prior to version 9.
This version of the Samsung Contact server also supports the 8.0.0, 8.0.2 8.5.0 and 8.5.1 MAPI Service Providers. However, only the version 9 MAPI Service Providers support the Calendar interoperability enhancements.
The version 9 server is not backward compatible with the Samsung Contact Web clients prior to version 9.
Samsung Contact Version 9.2 is supported on:
 HP-UX 11.00 or 11.11i with the December 2001 patch or above on HP9000 series hardware.
 Red Hat Linux 8 or 9 on Intel x86 compatible machines.
 Red Hat Enterprise Server 3.0 and 4.0 with the June 2005 cumulative patches.
 Sun Solaris 8 (with December 2001 patch level) and 9 on Sun Solaris SPARC.
 SuSE Enterpise Server 8 and 9 with the June 2005 cumlative patches.
Samsung Contact Version 9.1 is supported on:
 HP-UX 11.00 or 11.11i with the December 2001 patch or above on HP9000 series hardware.
 Red Hat Linux 8 or 9 on Intel x86 compatible machines.
 Red Hat Enterprise Server 3.0 with the November 2004 cumulative patches.
 Sun Solaris 8 (with December 2001 patch level) and 9 on Sun Solaris SPARC.
